« Back to Publications
This issue leads off with an address from our publisher, Peter Rutledge Koch, originally delivered at The CODEX Effect symposium, co-hosted by the Grolier Club, October 18, 2019, in New York City. The CODEX Effect brings together artists, poets, writers, printers, and bookbinders, and issue no. 2 of the journal includes: reviews of artists’ books written by artists and scholars; a curator’s guide to interpreting artists’ books for graphic artists and students; a European bookseller’s perspective on institutional collecting; an artist’s insights on her inspirations and process; a profile on the French bookbinder Louise Bescond; global reports of book arts activity from the Nordic countries and Australia; and a guide to locating artists’ books in Paris.
