CODEX 2009 charter bus:

Following the CODEX book fair and symposium, we will be chartering bus to visit Arion Press / M&H Type and the San Francisco Center for the Book. Tickets are $35. and can be reserved on the bookfair and symposium registration forms.

Tour one of the world's largest fine bookmaking operations, including a typefoundry and collection of 4,000 typecases (M & H Type), a letterpress printing shop, book bindery, and the gallery and editorial offices of Arion Press, publishers of limited edition books with work by contemporary artists.

Since 1996, the San Francisco Center for the Book has been a home for the Bay Area book arts community, with a rapidly expanding schedule of programs that each year now includes nearly 350 workshops, more than 20 special events and several exhibitions. On February 12, 2009, SFCB will welcome Codex participants to an evening reception for an exhibition of contemporary artists' books from Asia.
